I recommend washing in cold on the delicate cycle with a color catcher sheet (you can find at Amazon) to avoid having the colors bleed. I lay mine flat to dry, but I’ve heard that people have had success with machine drying on low.

Some people prefer to wash them rarely, maybe once a year. Other people wash them more frequently and they seem to hold up. Of course the more you wash them, the sooner they may wear out.

These are not “blankets.” Quilts are handcrafted works of art. They require a lot of work and expertise and are one of a kind. I’ve seen quilts as inexpensive as $150 and all the way up to $12,000.

Materials cost about $150 and the time can take anywhere from 2-3 weeks or 40-80 hours. It’s a lot of work (and love).
